In a large scale project that involved ESAB replacing two ERP systems (JD Edwards and BPCS) with SAP and two warehouse management systems, Microlistics Enterprise WMS was implemented and also integrated to control a MHE carousel for small picking products.
As well as integrating to SAP, and the challenge of replacing two WMS and two ERP systems, Microlistics implemented complicated logic to enable ESAB to solve the issue of receiving and shipping in both pounds (lbs) and kilos (kg).
Microlistics delivered a solution that satisfied ESAB’s business requirements including total control of the warehouse floor utilising the Microlistics Workbank (supervisor tool), as well as best practice functionality for Receiving, Picking, Packing, Despatch and Inventory Control.
The ESAB Toronto warehouse is now entirely paperless, with RF devices controlling operations, 99.9% inventory accuracy and improved On-Time Delivery rates.
